About Us
PANABEES Tech is a Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I) initiative of PANABEES, a family-owned business based in São Roque, São Paulo, Brazil. PANABEES began its journey in stingless beekeeping (meliponiculture) in 2012 and expanded into traditional beekeeping (apiculture) in 2021.
The experience gained over the years in bee management, combined with the founders' academic backgrounds and professional expertise in electronic engineering, inspired the creation of a new initiative dedicated to developing technologies for apiculture and meliponiculture.
Our approach combines engineering, scientific knowledge and hands-on field experience to address real-world challenges in these sectors through technological innovation.
Our Research Areas
PANABEES Tech focuses on two main areas of Research, Development and Innovation:
Precision Apiculture and Meliponiculture: Research and development of electronic systems, sensors, Internet of Things (IoT) communication technologies and remote hive monitoring solutions, aimed at supporting colony monitoring and the management of apiaries and stingless bee yards.
Apitoxin Technologies: Research and development of electronic equipment and procedures for bee venom collection, preservation and quality control, including studies assessing the potential impacts of venom collection on bee health and honey production.
PANABEES' apiaries and stingless bee yards provide real-world environments for prototype development, experimentation and technology validation under actual operating conditions.
